Records Retention Policy

All records related to CPE classes offered to CPAs for CPE credit by Dr. Schell, Ph.D., CPA, are preserved for a minimum of five years and may be retained perpetually. Preserved records include the attendee's name, the number of polling-question responses generated, the number of CPE credits earned by each participant, the results of attendee evaluations, and the descriptive materials for the program. Records also include the dates and delivery method for each class offered for CPE credit, together with the name and credentials of the author/developer and the content reviewer.

For any group internet-based CPE program, this policy additionally requires retention of the program outline, agenda, speaker notes, or other documentation evidencing the engagement mechanism used (such as a code word or response to online polling questions). For programs in the fields of accounting, auditing, or tax, retained records include Dr. Schell's state of licensure, CPA license number, and license status, since his participation as a licensed CPA in the program's development satisfies that requirement; the reviewing team member's qualifications are documented by name and area of expertise.

Payment Refund and Cancellation Policy

CPE programs offered by Dr. Schell, Ph.D., CPA, are generally fee-based webinars unless otherwise noted, with costs typically ranging from $50 to $100 per CPE credit hour depending on the topic's complexity and specialization. A registrant who cancels more than 48 hours before a session's scheduled start receives a full refund to the original payment method, processed within five business days. A registrant who cancels less than 48 hours before the start receives credit toward a future webinar, valid for twelve months from the date of issuance, rather than a cash refund. Because class size is limited, a cancellation made after the session has begun, a failure to cancel, or a failure to meet the attendance-validation requirement for CPE credit does not qualify for a refund or credit.

Cancellation of a Scheduled Course Policy

In the unlikely event that Dr. Schell, Ph.D., CPA, cancels a scheduled program, all registered participants receive notice by email at the address provided during registration, and a full refund is issued to the original payment method within five business days of the cancellation. If a CPE webinar is offered without charge, this refund and cancellation policy does not apply.

Complaint Resolution Policy

Attendees with a complaint regarding a program or its administration should submit a note via the contact us link below with "Complaint" in the first line of the message. A complaint that cannot be resolved directly with Schell Advisory Services (NASBA-Registered Sponsor #149495) may be submitted to NASBA's National Registry of CPE Sponsors at nasbaregistry.org.

Attendance and Polling Credit Requirements

Group internet-based programs are monitored electronically for continuous attendance and require a minimum of three polling questions per fifty-minute credit hour, presented at irregular intervals. Each program's registration page discloses the exact number of polling questions offered and the number that must be answered to earn full CPE credit for that specific program. Small groups viewing together may designate one participant to respond on the group's behalf, provided a facilitator documents and verifies each individual's active participation.

Knowledge Level Aligned to Participants Policy

CPE courses offered by Dr. Schell, Ph.D., CPA, are designed to inform CPAs and other accounting and finance professionals across the subject areas Dr. Schell teaches and advises on, including accounting, finance, strategy, and behavioral persuasion. Program content and program level are tailored to the intended participants, and the knowledge level of each course is clearly identified as basic, intermediate, advanced, overview, or update, so participants can determine whether the content matches their development needs.

Programs designated intermediate, advanced, or update clearly identify any prerequisite education, experience, or advance preparation needed to assimilate the content readily. Programs designated basic or overview likewise identify any prerequisite education, experience, or advance preparation, or state "none" where no prerequisite applies. Recommended CPE credit and field of study are disclosed on each program's registration page in advance of enrollment.

Course Update Policy

Dr. Schell, Ph.D., CPA, is committed to attendees' ongoing knowledge development, including the continual review and enhancement of all CPE webinars. Materials, activities, and delivery systems are kept current, accurate, and effectively designed for the learning needs of CPE attendees. Course documentation reflects the most recently published guidance on each topic, and each course is revised as promptly as reasonably feasible following a change in relevant codes, laws, rulings, decisions, or interpretations affecting its content. Content, personally developed by Dr. Schell as subject matter expert, is reviewed before each delivery and, in any event, no less frequently than every two years.

Program Development Policy

CPE courses offered by Dr. Schell, Ph.D., CPA, are designed to inform accountants and other accounting and finance professionals about the nuance and complexity of the business, financial, and behavioral topics covered in each program. Dr. Andy Schell brings more than 40 years of professional experience, a PhD in Communication, a Doctorate of Business Administration, an MBA, an MSML, and the CPA, CFF, and CMB designations to each program, along with active professorships in accounting, communication theory, and strategic communication. He personally creates all course content and directly supports its delivery, subject to review by the assigned reviewer, and remains an active practitioner and professor in these fields. His teaching, authorship, and advisory work provide the foundation for webinar course content, and all course content draws on actual hands-on knowledge where subject-matter mastery benefits attendees.

Content and Delivery System Policy

CPE programs are delivered as live, group internet-based webinars (or, where noted, another approved delivery method), using a platform that supports real-time presentation, attendee interaction, and the polling mechanism described in the Attendance & Polling Credit Requirements policy above. The delivery system and supporting materials are reviewed alongside each course update described in the Course Update Policy, to confirm that the technology and format continue to meet CPE delivery requirements.

Content Developed by Subject Matter Expert

All course content is personally developed by Dr. Andy Schell, whose credentials and experience are described in the Program Development Policy above. A member of Dr. Schell's team with accounting or business expertise reviews all content before it is delivered to attendees.

For programs in the fields of accounting, auditing, or tax, Dr. Schell's own active, good-standing CPA license satisfies the requirement that at least one licensed CPA participate in the program's development; the standard permits this requirement to be met by the author's own participation and does not call for a second, separate CPA, tax attorney, or enrolled agent. For programs in other fields of study, content is developed and reviewed by individuals qualified in the relevant subject matter.

Content Based on Relevant Learning Objectives and Outcomes

Dr. Andy Schell is an active practitioner and advisor in the fields covered by each program — including accounting, finance, strategy, and behavioral persuasion — and that hands-on advisory and teaching experience, together with his academic credentials, provides the foundation for each course's learning objectives. Every course identifies the learning objectives and outcomes attendees are expected to achieve, articulating the professional competence participants should gain as a result of attending.

That covers everything on the page except Attendance & Polling Credit Requirements and the two refund/cancellation sections, which stay exactly as already finalized. Let me know if you want those touched too, or if this settles the page.
